How does the booking process work?
It's simple and straightforward from start to finish:
Reach out via my contact form with your session type, preferred date, location ideas, and group size. I respond within 3 business days — usually sooner.
We confirm the details — location, timing, session length, and group size together. If you're not sure about location, I'll help you figure it out.
You sign the contract and pay the 50% of your total session fee as an initial payment. Your date is not officially held until both are received.
I send you a prep guide on what to bring, and what to expect on the day.
We shoot! I handle all posing direction — you just show up ready.
You pay the remaining balance of the session fee within 2 days of the session.
Sneak peek images delivered within 3 business days.
Full gallery delivered within 4–6 weeks (depending of your session type) via a private online gallery.
How far in advance should I book?
For graduation and prom season (April–June), I recommend reaching out at least 3–6 weeks in advance — these slots fill up fast, especially sunrise sessions on weekends. For couples, family, portrait, and maternity sessions, 2–4 weeks is generally enough. Fall foliage sessions (October–November) slots fill up fast, so plan ahead for those too.
Is my date guaranteed once I reach out?
Your date is only officially held once both your signed contract and 50% booking fee have been received. Until then, the date remains available to other clients. I recommend completing both steps as soon as possible after we confirm your details — especially during peak season.
Why do I have to pay 50% of the session total upfront and is it refundable?
A 50% of your session total is required to officially hold your session date. This reserves my time exclusively for you. It is not a retainer or a deposit! The remaining balance is due within two days after your session.
The booking fee is non-refundable if you cancel — but see the cancellation and rescheduling policy below for full details.
How do I pay?
Payment details will be outlined in your invoice. I accept electronic payments for both the initial payment and the remaining balance.
Do you require a contract?
Yes — every session requires a signed contract before we shoot. This protects both of us and clearly outlines what to expect from both sides. The contract covers session details, payment terms, cancellation policy, image delivery, and usage rights. I'll send it over once we've confirmed your session details.
Can I book a same-day or last-minute session?
Occasionally I have last-minute availability — feel free to reach out and ask! Last-minute sessions are subject to availability and still require a signed contract and booking fee before we meet.
