What You Are Actually Investing In
When you book a session with me, you're not just paying for an hour of photographing at a location. Your investment covers the full process — from your first message to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox.
Before your session:
We'll connect to nail down location, timing, and what to wear. I research lighting conditions, scout spots in advance, and show up ready — so we're making photos from the first minute, not figuring things out on the fly.
My camera and equipment:
Every portrait and couples session in the DMV is shot on professional-grade camera bodies and lenses, with backup gear on hand. The quality of your images starts before I press the shutter.
During your session:
I'm not just holding a camera. I'm giving you pose direction, reading the light, and moving us between setups — all while keeping things relaxed and fun. Most clients tell me they felt awkward for the first few minutes and forgot the camera was there by the end. That's the goal.
After your session — the part most people don't see:
For every hour we spend together, expect 3–6 hours of editing work behind your final gallery. Every image is individually edited in Lightroom and Photoshop: color grading, exposure, skin tones, selective retouching. Yes, I do have my pwn presets from years of shooting, but I don't simply slap on a preset and call it a day. Each photo is finished by hand, to a standard I'm proud to put my name on.
Delivery:
Your gallery is delivered through a secure, password-protected platform — high-resolution files with a personal use license, ready to print, post, and keep for a lifetime.
What you receive isn't a folder of raw files. It's a finished, curated gallery — every photo complete the moment you open it. To me, every image is a piece of art. And that's exactly how I treat it.
Maternity Photoshoot
What your maternity session looks like...

Every maternity gallery starts with solo portraits of mama, because this is where the journey of motherhood begins.

Bring the tiny shoes. The onesie you've washed three times already. The stuffed animal waiting in the nursery. I'll photograph every detail — so one day, your child can see exactly how loved they were before you even met them.

And of course, time with your person — because this chapter belongs to both of you.

What to Expect:
-
Maternity sessions are typically 1 hour: Solo maternity sessions starting at $350 (solo), couples maternity session starting at $420, family maternity session available upon inquiry
-
The maternity gallery always includes solo portraits of mama even if you have booked a couples/family maternity session
-
As a general guide: first-time moms typically show later, so 32–36 weeks tend to work best; experienced moms often show sooner, making 28–32 weeks ideal; and for twins or multiples, I recommend scheduling around 24–28 weeks as delivery tends to come earlier. The best timing is always the one that feels right for mama
-
Mama's safety and comfort always come first. Sessions are paced entirely around how you're feeling on the day
-
Bring anything you've already prepared for your little one — tiny shoes, a onesie, a stuffed animal, a sonogram — I'll photograph them as detail shots woven throughout your gallery. The more meaningful the items, the better the story they tell
-
Outdoor sessions are best from late spring through fall. For winter and early spring sessions, an indoor or studio setting works beautifully — please note that I do not own a studio, so clients booking an indoor session will need to arrange and rent a studio space in advance. I'm happy to offer suggestions
